Happy New Year!
I hope these first few weeks of the New Year have been good to all of you.  Unfortunately we have been battling the flu for about a week and a half now.  Hopefully we are getting on the tail end of it. I'll let the pictures do the talking.  I am grateful to each and every one of you for being such a gift in our lives.  Wishing you all a most wonderful year ahead.
Love,
Hannah and the gang!

Kai's Favs of 2012
Super hero - Batman, Thor, Captain America
Toy- Dr.'s kit
Color-Blue
Things to do- dress up
Food- Waffles
Friend- Oz, Aiden, Solomon
Most grateful for his warm home and his school
What he aspires to be when he grows up - an archeologist, astronaut, and a vent cleaner (interesting one) "Mama, can I be all these things or will I be too busy?"  Me- "I actually think with those jobs, you probably could be all of them."  Kai- "Okay, then I want to be all those things."

Isaac
When Jeff was in Ouray at the ice climbing festival, Isaac asked me, "Where Papa is?"  Me- "He is in Ouray (pronounced yer-ray)."   Isaac - "He's in MY way?"

Kai was very excited to receive this cute little house elf from his teacher for Christmas.  This little feller helps out around the house when all are sleeping.  What a gift!

In route to see Nana and Grandaddy in Dallas.  Upon boarding, the pilot asked Kai if he wanted to come into the cockpit.  They told us to go to our seats and they would bring Kai back once everyone boarded.  Once we were seated, we heard Kai's voice overhead. "Welcome aboard everyone.  This is Kai Jackson.  Hi mama, hi papa!  That was a treat.

Sometimes Uncle E. likes to be one of the kids :)

Exploring in Nana's yard.

Kai always has a super love fest with Uncle E.  Who wouldn't with an Uncle who will do anything you ask.

Lots of fun on Grandaddy's many machines.

                                                                        Papa time

                                                            Three Generations of brothers.
Beautiful Texas Sunset.  Not often we see a sunset like that in Colorado.
The best thing about going to Nana and Grandaddy's house is that the boys get to play with everything that used to be their papa's.  This was Jeff and Erik's Christmas Countdown.  Kai loved it.
                                                           Looking for Santa.

The stockings were laid by the chimney with care in hopes that Saint Nick would soon be here.

Uncle E. always gives the coolest gifts.  Isaac got a hand puppet Chewbaca and Kai got a Star Wars pop up book.

One morning we went out to a Mexican place for brunch.  Isaac ate about a half of a bowl of this salsa. He is a spice lovin' fool.  Guess that is his Texan roots shinin'
Out for a Christmas Eve stroll.

Mistletoe kisses for mama from her boys.                                    BREAK DOWN!

Playing with Jeff and Erik's old Mouse Trap Game.  I can't believe they still have it.  Then you have Erik and Kai dressed up in their "spacesuits" boarding their space craft which was Nana and Grandaddy's exercise equipment.

                                                           Sleepy time at Nana's house

Woke up Christmas day to a white Dallas Christmas.

I had to put a picture of Isaac helping out making the smoothie because he HAS to help every morning.

For Good luck!  New Year's Breakfast.  Eggs, hashbrowns, sausage, and gotta get those black eyed peas in.

                                                           Isaac sporting his new haircut.
Kai LOVES building.  He loves looking at directions and building with legos, lincoln logs or whatever else he can.
Isaac's new love is building train tracks and playing with his trains.
I had to put this picture in because I love this sleep gown Isaac wears.  It is made of super soft wool and I wish I had one.  It reminds me of something they wear in "Twas the Night Before Christmas."
Ah...no...it isn't a head injury.  This was an "Oh Shit" moment for me as I cut Jeff's hair and forgot to put the number 4 back on the razor.  I felt horrible.  Especially since Jeff was leaving the next day for the Ouray Ice Climbing Competitions.  Good thing he is forgiving.
Learning to ice skate in town.

Kai is learning to play the Ukelele.  He is absolutely loving it.

Oh boy.  We thought -8 was cold as we drove to the Denver airport Dec. 20th.  We were in for a big surprise because from the time we got back to Carbondale on Dec. 26th till two days ago, we have had a straight stretch of sub zero temps.  Highs of single digits for weeks.  NO FUN.  When it got up to 18 this week, it felt balmy.  Glad the cold temps broke.  Today we were in the 30's.
Here are some links for some cute short videos for your viewing pleasure.
