Can you tell who his father is?
My knights in shining armor.  St. George.  Celebrating Michaelmas!

 Spiderman!
 Picking corn from the garden.

My first flight to NC.  "Oh, no need to worry everyone".  Just three fire trucks and A LOT of smoke.  It was only the luggage loader on fire.  Sheesh!
Back in my element in NC.  As kids, my sisters and I would swing from vines like this.
Beautiful Fall in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

My good friend Jennings and me out for a hike on the Parkway.
A little artistic pose with my friend Jamie.
My favorite professor from College, Bud Gerber!
So, I went back to Boone - Appalachian State University- for my reunion.  Here is a small group of my friends from our freshman year in college.  Crazy to think it has been almost 20 years since then.

After my reunion I drove down to Asheville, NC to celebrate my youngest sister Cody's 30th Birthday!!!
Isaac is very in to making trains.  Anything that he can line up, he does and it becomes a train.
 Kai and his boat.
Oops, these are a little out of order.  This is back in NC on the Parkway with my sisters and mom.

Our last harvest from the garden.  Green beans, squash, potatoes, turnips, and sunflower seeds-yum.

My birthday hike up to the Maroon Bells.  I could not have asked for a more beautiful day!!!

 Gettin' my birthday sass on!

 Can you say cute?
 Ghosty Isaac

On a hike with my friend Katie and having a good time.
Hours of fun with a paper bag!

Isaac's birthday morning.  About a week before his birthday, out of the blue, Isaac says to me, "Isaac's Happy Birthday coming up."  Why yes it was!  He had it down and now LOVES going around telling everyone that he is 2 and Kai is 5. Smart little feller.
Isaac's birthday celebration at his play group.

This needs to be an advertisement for this digger.  Could it be more perfect?  Isaac's gift from Nana and Grandaddy.

Ah yeah! A dump truck cake.
The party.  The boys decorating little wooden cars.
Then we had apple/grape cars and many other treats to eat.
And thanks to Jeff for my birthday gift, a surger, I was able to make these wonderful construction site napkins.  Fun, fun, fun!
 Make a wish!
From here on out you can see how different our weather can be.  Cold and then tank tops.  All within the same week.  Its hayride and pumpkin choosin' time!

 Eeek, its FrankenKai!
 Carvin' pumpkins.

The next weekend we came here to another pumpkin patch with lots of fun things to do.  Climb a hay mountain, go through a hay maze, play pumpkin croquet, toss the beanbag in the pumpkin, wheelbarrow racing, and more!Note how hot it looks.  It was at least 70!

Uncle E.  sent the boys a Zombie candy making machine.  They could make gummy spiders and worms, zombie barf (Kai made Isaac taste it before he even touched it), zombie brains and zombie skin.  Gross!!! The kids loved it.

Little Mr. Independent.  "Do Myself" he says.  Check out the results.
He now takes off his sleepsack in the morning, climbs out of the crib and opens the door and comes out saying, "Isaac woke up.  Climb out of bed by self!"  Oh dear!  This morning I came upstairs to both the boys sitting at the table, eating cereal.  Kai said, "I can get us meals so you can sleep."  I looked into the kitchen and saw 2 bags of cereal cut open and lots of cereal on the counters and floor.  Kai said, "I accidentally cut the bag too far down."  I could only inwardly laugh.

Getting ready to go trick or treating with my little robots.  I have to say that experiencing this all through their eyes and excitement is such a gift.  These boys LOVE to dress up as you have seen recorded here over the years.  To dress up and be able to prance about town AND get candy, is just way too much fun.  Both boys had a blast and it only took Isaac one house before he knew EXACTLY what to do.  He was running ahead of Kai and his friend when he saw there were more houses.  He learned about candy and lollipops :)

Kai and his friend Oz (the tornado). At this moment Kai had said, "Hey Oz, how about we are friends.  We can be a robot tornado"

Luckily we have a Halloween witch that visits our house when the boys are sleeping.  Kai chose 5 pieces of candy and left the rest for her.  This morning the boys woke up to some super cool glow wands, t-shirts and stickers.  They never once mentioned the candy.  GO HALLOWEEN WITCH!
