Spring is here and we eagerly await warmer weather and sunshine. As you can see by the pictures, we have been having quite a good time on the home front. The boys are growing like weeds. Kai will be 6 next month which is hard to believe. He wants a hobbit party, so I have some planning to do. Should be fun.
Updates
Isaac loves puzzles, legos, looking at books, riding his bike, going to the park, playing in the sandbox and playing with Kai. He LOVES going to his day care at Ms. Heidi's house and says so every night when we go around the table saying what we are grateful for. New developmental milestones - jumping off things, new molars on the bottom, great skill and balance on his new balance bike. Favorite bedtime songs - Twinkle Twinkle, Tender Shepherd, Silver Wings and Row row row your boat.
Kai- absolutely LOVES his new bunkbeds. He is on the top and is in heaven. He is working on stopping sucking his thumb. His goal is to not be sucking it at all by his birthday. He loves climbing everything, legos, drawing, puzzles, reading, the library. Developmental milestones -correct pencil grip, writing name, copying words
Kai decided he still wants to be an archeologist and astronaut, but does not want to clean vents anymore. When we asked him why he said, "Because the vents are probably really dirty and might have a lot of mouse poop in them."
Sadly, yesterday Kai and I drove past a graveyard where a funeral was taking place. Kai asked what was happening there. I thought quickly and told him that when people die their souls live on and go live with the angels and they don't need their bodies anymore. Some people want their bodies to be put in a coffin and buried in the ground, which is what they are doing in the graveyard...and some people want their bodies burned and have their ashes spread in places they love. Kai said that he wanted that, and that he wanted his bones and ashes to be spread at the library, his driveway, Mt. Sopris and the ocean.
Hannah - Signed up for her third Triathlon - the Denver Tri for the Cure and has started training. Working 4 days/week at the Waldorf School on the Roaring Fork as the Student Support Teacher.
Jeff - Working on a treatment and screenplay with John Long, writing a novel, and working full time as editor of Rock and Ice.
