It is hard to believe that summer is coming to an end. It has been an eventful one for us. We bought a new pop-up and used it often. Kai became a huge fan of camping and we look forward to the many years we will have, going on adventures and exploring our surroundings. So much has happened, it is almost hard to remember three months of life. I have a hard enough time remembering what I did yesterday.
Shortly after Kai's birthday, we took a trip to Durango to see and ride Thomas the Train. That of course was a huge highlight for Kai. Kai continues to grow and change so much. For his birthday, he got a balance bike from us. The world's best gift! He loves it and now has so much confidence and is able to balance with no problem. Next year's birthday gift will have to be a big boy peddle bike because this boy is ready! Kai also took swim lessons. This was huge because at the beginning of the summer, he refused to even get his chin under water. Now he is a pro diver of his toy torpedos and is quickly learning how to kick while doing ice cream scoop (breath stoke) swimming arms. It is all very exciting.
We are all getting excited about our new little one arriving. Kai is still convinced that he is getting a baby brother and baby sister. As far as we can tell, only one is in there. Kai asked the other day if the baby was ready to come out and I said, "No, the baby still has to grow and sleep." He responded with, "Your belly is the baby's bed and it has a night light?" So cute.
One day Kai and I were driving down the road and we saw a newly wed couple driving an old fashion convertible car. Kai said, "When this car breaks down, lets get a cool, cool car like that one, okay mama?" He is a hoot.
We hope you are all well.
Stay tuned to see who the newest Jackson will be.
Love,
Hannah, Jeff, Kai and Badger.
